Brad Guzan has seemingly hinted that Atlanta United made as good signings this summer than Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami.
Speaking to the Five Stripes’ official website, the veteran goalkeeper lauded the impact Atlanta’s new signings have made on the squad since the closure of the summer window.
Xande Silva and Tristan Muyumba have both been impressive in their short time with Atlanta whilst new Designated Player Saba Lobjanidze has emerged as quite the attacking threat for the MLS giants.

Whilst Inter Miami have stolen all the headlines with the likes of Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, Atlanta’s signings have arguably been just as good when looking at MLS results.
And Guzan seemingly agrees, with the Atlanta keeper saying: “I talked about Miami making some good signings this summer, and we did exactly that.”
“Whenever you’re in the transfer window, and there’s the ability to bring players in, you not only want to add quality, we want to add good people. We’ve certainly done that, and those guys showed their quality tonight.”
Atlanta United showed their quality against Inter Miami

Whilst Inter Miami were missing Messi and Alba, there’s no denying that Atlanta’s dominating win against Tata Martino’s side was impressive.
New signings Silva and Muyumba were excellent on the night, whilst the likes of Thiago Almada were at their usual best for Atlanta.
The win puts Atlanta in a strong position to qualify for the MLS post-season, and Gonzalo Pineda’s new signings have been key in the Five Stripes transforming their form since the Leagues Cup break.
